Survey/Project Number: 130          Total No. of Sites: 0
Survey/Project Name: Mound Springs of South Australia (DEH/LEWIS)
Abstract: This project aims to conduct a biological survey of mound springs, associated with the Great Artesian Basin in northern South Australia. The mound springs were examined to assist the installation of photopoints and collection of associated species lists, to provide long-term monitoring of changes in vegetation condition on mound springs.

Start Date: 01/08/1997      End Date: 01/08/2001
Survey Type: Vegetation Only

Study Area Description: Mound springs associated with the Great Artesian Basin in central SA.
Objectives
Vegetation: Installation of photopoints and collection of associated species lists to provide long term monitoring of changes in vegetation condition on mound springs.
Fauna: *** No fauna survey objectives recorded
Methodology
Vegetation: Transects run down spring tail to record veg. Transects varied due to changing location and length of tails between visits. Photopoint images taken.
Fauna: *** No vertebrate methodology recorded

Data Distribution Rules: Public Dataset
Project Basis: Vegetation : Monitoring - Vegetation/Ecosystem (ie species records - usually re-visited for ongoing monitoring) NOTE:NON Std Svy methodology may have been used.
Vegetation : Photopoint - General Purpose PP's not directed at resolving specific issues. NOTE:NON Std Svy methodology may have been used.
