Survey/Project Number: 142          Total No. of Sites: 416
Survey/Project Name: Hooded Plover Project (Murray Mouth)
Abstract: This project aims to conduct a biological survey to record the presence and activity of Hooded Plover (Hooded Dotterel) (Thinornis rubricollis), in the Coorong National Park, South Australia, to assess the impact of dredges, vehicles and foxes. The data is collected according to the minimum requirements for Biological Survey and Monitoring, and includes: - number of birds - adult or juvenile - eggs - location (GPS and description of location) - wind direction and speed - water level - what the birds are doing (eg. foraging/resting). - other significant details. Data from 2016 is available via Project 1361 - BEACH-NESTING BIRD - BIRDLIFE AUSTRALIA.

Fauna: This project records the presense and activity of Hooded Plovers, to assess the impact of dredges, cockling truncks, vehicles and foxes. The data is collected according to the minimum requirements for Biological Survey and Monitoring, and includes: - number of birds - NUMOBSERVED field - adult or juvenile - this has been stored in SPCOMM field - eggs - this has been stored in SPCOMM field - location (GPS and description of location) - wind direction and speed - this has been stored in the visitcomm as *WEA - water level - this has been stored in the VISITCOMM as *WEA - what the birds are doing (eg. foraging/resting). - this has been stored in the activity field - other significant details
