Survey/Project Name: Strzelecki Grazing Assessment
Abstract: Tinga Tingana Pastoral Lease was assessed in July 2000 under the Pastoral Act. Grazing Photopoints were installed off major waterholes and evaluation of condition made. The lease is to be surrendered, the land merged with Strzelecki Regional Reserve and new grazing lease issued (under NP&WS Act) over portion of the lands. Existing photopoints and paddock descriptions will form the basis of future evaluation of grazing impacts within the Park. Additional developments for grazing are likely in eastern portions and monitoring sites, as used in Pastoral Assessment, are to be installed here when required.
