Survey/Project Name: Plant Species Structure in Ngarkat CP in Relation to Fire History
Abstract: A series of 8 structurally similar vegetation sites in Eucalyptus sp. scrub of varying fire histories spanning from approximately 1945 to 1999 were sampled in the northern portion of Ngarkat Conservation Park to determine how plant diversity and structure is affected by time since burn. More specific population work was applied to fire sensitive species such as Baeckia behrii, the main site analysis of quadrats based measurements included total species, numbers relative to height classes, step-point cover by 3 height classes, floristic lists.
