The data was prepared for the following publication " Analysis of South Australian Museum's Cetacean data: Distribution, Seasonal Trends and Circumstance of Death. Produced by SA Museum and Department Environment, Water, Heritage and Arts - Tasmania. Some significant records have been added since the publication was prepared. This project may also accomodate data from other researchers collecting whale sighting records and providing summaries to SAM.
