Survey/Project Name: Mapping poison buttercup in Chowilla Game Reserve
Abstract: This project aims to document the occurance of Poison Buttercup, and subsequently create an action plan to determine how to control the weed. The species is only known to occur in one area, and grows along creek lines in Chowilla Game Reserve. It occurs near fresh water or pigs. The creek lines where the weed is likely to occur are walked, and information is data logged, mapped and GPS points are recorded. The distribution and density of the species can then be determined and an action plan drawn up to control the pest species. Project conducted 2004/2005.

Objectives
Vegetation: All of Chowilla GR creek lines were checked for the presence of Poison Buttercup but it was found to only occur in one area. The Ranger Rebecca Crack located the Poison Buttercup with a GPS, Data Logger and mapped distance and density on ArcMap. Stored locally at Berri (S: drive) with Rebecca Crack. S:Drive, Future possibility of entering on to opportune data base.
