Survey/Project Name: Bookmark Fire Monitoring
Abstract: Based on the Conservation lands north of the river: Danggali Conservation Park, Pooginook Conservation Park, Cooltong Conservation Park, Chowilla Regional Reserve, Gluepot Reserve (Birds Australia), Calperum and Taylorville Stations (Environment Australia). The emphasis on this project is preserving the Mallee area, the effects of grazing on vegetation and the vegetation recovery after fire. Particularily in regards to threatened plant species and how to tailor a burn to suit their needs. With the possibility of breaking blocks up with fire breaks to avoid fires burning the areas with threatened species.
