Survey/Project Name: Regional Species Conservation Assessment Project
Abstract: In South Australia, a Regional Species Conservation Assessment framework was developed (2007) to contribute to the knowledge base and management of threatened species and ecological communities, at a regional scale. The aim is to provide a methodical and standardised approach to assessing and prioritising SA s native species to guide species conservation and recovery, in each of the seven Department for Environment and Heritage (DEH) regions across the state. Two datasets are being generated by this project. The primary one is the Regional conservation ratings assigned to plant and animal species. The secondary one is BDBSA errors documented during the workshops. These are being processed as part of general validation by the EIS group.
