Survey/Project Number: 761          Total No. of Sites: 0
Survey/Project Name: _761-NO LONGER IN USE - was Survey for native animals in GT forests
Abstract: This survey number was established with the intention of recording data from fauna surveys undertaken by ForestrySA in the South East. Forestry SA undertake fauna surveys to: - Update knowledge on species diversity and distributions within the Forest Reserves; Use this information to make informed management decisions about species and habitat management (esp. native forest reserves and threatened species) and Educate staff and reserve users (incl. volunteers) about the variety of wildlife species within the Forest to help instil a greater interest in wildlife conservation. The project began in July 2010 and Cage and Elliot traps, roofing tiles and temporary pitfall traps have been utilised. However, as at 2021, no data has been entered in BDBSA. All data recorded in Forestry SA reserves, including fauna trapping was provided to DEW in 2021. This data has been entered in survey 355. Survey 761 therefore duplicates data in survey 355 and survey 761 is not active.
