Survey/Project Name: Lake Newland Conservation Park
Abstract: This project aims to conduct a biological survey of flora and fauna in Lake Newland Conservation Park, western Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. Standard Biological Survey of SA methodology was used to conduct the survey in 1991. This project is part of the Biological Survey of SA programme run by the Biological Survey and Monitoring group in Department for Environment and Heritage (DEH).

Study Area Description: A salt lake system surrounded by saltmarsh with an extensive dune system backing on to the west on an ocean beach. Lake Newland Conservation Park Boundary. Bounded to the west by the coast line at the top of Eyre Peninsula, 32*19' in the north (the top of the park boundary), 33*29' in the south with park boundary extending beyond this. In the east bounded by the park boundary running parallel and about 2km west of the Flinders Highway.
