Survey/Project Name: Arcoona Creek Vegetation Exclosures
Abstract: The effects of rabbits and feral goats on the growth and regeneration of perennial vegetation at Arcoona Creek are studied in a series of fenced vegetation exclosures and associated unfenced plots. Rabbit, goat and kangaroo (euro) densities are estimated from annual dung collections. The location and height of selected perennials are recorded annually, on maps of the plots. Dung weights and calculated herbivore densities are recorded on data sheets. Frequency of monitoring is 6 monthly and ongoing.
