Survey/Project Name: Threatened Plant Monitoring at Mokota Conservation Park
Abstract: This program was conducted in Oct 1999 and monitored the nationally threatened plant species Cullen parvum and Dodonaea procumbens in Mokota Conservation Park. The projects aims were to: - Determine if the removal of stock grazing results in increased recruitment and survival of Cullen parvum and Dodonaea procumbens plants. - Determine if the removal of stock grazing results in increased weed invasion in the vicinity of Cullen parvum and Dodonaea procumbens populations in the park. - Determine if the removal of stock grazing results in increased competition from other native species. - Determine if park management - in particular weed, feral animal, and fire management - is adequate and appropriate for the management of these species.
