Sample vertebrate fauna at a series of sites within each vegetation association in a systematic and repeatable manner. |

| Study Area Description: | Morialta Conservation Park is located approximately 9km east-north-east of Adelaide. It can be divided into three sections: the central plateau, the western slopes, the valley of Fourth Creek and the deeply dissected quartzite hills of the eastern higher parts of the park. Only the eastern part of the park Area contained within the boundaries of Morialta Conservation Park. |

| Vegetation: | 1. To sample the vegetation of the range of vegetation associations systematically using a series of grids and to a map using aerial photography the major vegetation associations. | ||
| Fauna: | 2. To sample vertebrate fauna at a series of sites within each vegetation association in a systematic and repeatable way. | ||
| Methodology | |||
| Vegetation: | 25 x 25m grid sampling quantitatively with 20 "patches" within the quadrat at measured intervals. All plants counted within each "patch" and relative frequency for each species calculated. Forty nine additional quadrats sampled with presence/absence data only. | ||
| Fauna: | Traplines of 5-10 pitfall traps (depending on local conditions), 20 Elliott traps and 3 cage traps set for four days and nights. Bird observations, one hour in vicinity of each trapline. Some spotlighting and opportune searching elsewhere in park. | ||
