Survey/Project Name: Opportunistic Records Fauna/Flora Records - Fleurieu Peninsula
Abstract: The Land Management Program of the AMLR NRM Board offers incentives to landholders to improve their land management practices, principally stock management and management of remnant native vegetation. In the latter case, management comprises weed control and, increasingly, habitat restoration to support declining native flora and fauna. As part of their field duties, District Officers often observe native fauna and flora. They require a structured reporting system in which to lodge their data collected by others. This data can then be used to inform decision making regarding Board investments on private property. Aims: To increase knowledge regarding distribution and abundance of native fauna on Fleureiu Peninsula To use infromation from BDBSA to inform decisions reagarding - management of remnant vegetation and habitat restoration works on Fleurieu Peninsula. Objectives: To contribute opportunistic fauna sightings to BDBSA.
