Survey/Project Name: Great Artesian Basin MOUND SPRING FLOW MONITORING - WMC/BHPBILLITON
Abstract: Long term spring flow monitoring established by Western Mining Coorporation in the early 1980's throughout the Olympic Dam borefields area. The data is used to prepare the GAB Mound Spring Flow Monitoring Reports submitted to government (available on the web). BHP Billiton is now responsible for the monitoring and submits data twice a year to SMK within DEWNR. The monitoring records water quality and flow. In the past photopoint photos were also taken. A lot of the work has been carried out for WMC/BHP by Land Use Consultants.
