Survey/Project Name: HISTORIC BIRD BANDING LEDGER & MISC.
Abstract: This project aims to record bird banding data from south-eastern Australia, saved as hardcopy biological data storage files at Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources. First Register contains data from 1961 and 1962 and a couple of records for 1963. Includes many collectors and locations primarily within SA. Second Register contains Cape Barren Geese records from SA Islands including KI during 1966/67. Miscellaneous data sheets include data from a research paper (Norman 1971 Transactions of the Royal Society of South Australia) which reports that Pacific Black Ducks, Mountain Ducks and Grey Teal were banded by the South Australian Department of Fisheries and Fauna in the 1960s (in conjunction with Arthur Rylah Institute for Environmental Research). Duck banding was carried out at Yalkuri, Merretti and Waltowa. Also include Troubridge Island December 1985 by H Waterman. Charleston Conservation Park Banding 1983/84 . Ducks shot in 1960s.
