Survey/Project Name: Defeating the Weed Menace - Onground Works
Abstract: This project is the continuation of a 5-year program aimed at reducing the impacts of Weeds of National Significance through the implementation of the South East Pest Management Strategy, South Australia. It ensures that regional obligations such as the Gorse Eradication MOU are met, and that community participation in pest management is increased through collaborative on-ground works. Australian Government `Caring for our Country' funding received for project.

Study Area Description: Coastal strip from Coorong NP to Canunda NP
Objectives
         Vegetation: Refer to Abstract.
         Fauna: *** No fauna survey objectives recorded
Methodology
         Vegetation: Focus was on Coorong (Lower) but also incuded reserves and unallotted crown land from Coorong NP to Canunda NP. Grassland deployed from helicopter to boxthorn bushes. Sites logger with keskull logger (aerial marksman kit).
