Survey/Project Name: Bush Blitz Biological Survey of a section of the Great Victoria Desert
Abstract: This project aims to survey and collect the biota of a region of the south-central Great Victoria Desert, in the Maralinga Tjarutja Lands of western South Australia. The region includes parts of a major conservation reserve, Mamungari Conservation Park. During a two-week period in September 2017, Australian Biological Resources Scheme (ABRS) will support a group of approximately 15 scientists with expertise in the diversity of plants and vertebrate and invertebrate animals. The BushBlitz program is sponsored by ABRS to gather data on the diversity of fauna and flora in data-deficient areas of Australia.
