Survey/Project Number: 118          Total No. of Sites: 116
Survey/Project Name: West Avenue Range
Abstract: This project aims to conduct a biological survey, from 1999 to 2000, to systematically sample the vertebrate fauna and all of the main vegetation types in the Upper South East region, South Australia, using the standard Biological Survey of South Australia methodology. The information gained from this exercise will be used to help plan the location of proposed drains in the area to minimise any potential salinity and waterlogging impacts.

Start Date: 05/08/1999      End Date: 12/12/2000
Survey Type: Vegetation and Fauna

Study Area Description: The study area is situated 45 km south of Salt Creek. The northern boundary of the study area was approximately 500m north of Henry Creek Rd. at the edge of Keith Mc Brides native vegetation (sect 5, Hd Wells). The West Avenue Range formed the western boundary on a line following the fence line of HA 903, and 902 (Hd Landseer), and the eastern boundary followed the fenceline of HA's 902, 964 (Sect. 12, 20 Hd. Landseer) and Sect 152, Hd. Landseer. The southern limit of the study area was bounded by the southern fenceline of Sect. 151 and 152, Hd. Landseer.
