Abstract: |
This project aims to conduct a biological survey to assess vegetation surrounding and within the main saline plain at Thidna Conservation Park, southern Yorke Peninsula, west of Adelaide, South Australia.
AIMS:
1. Survey ecological health of remnant native vegetation;
2. Determine current impacts on remnant native vegetation.
METHODOLOGY:
Sites were selected to provide a holistic representation of the reserve, especially surrounding the saline plain. Each quadrat was chosen to represent a different plant association.

Study Area Description: |
The survey area is the reserve located North of Gleesons Landing, Southern Yorke Peninsula. The area is centered on a saline plain and seasonal lake with surrounding land forms. Surrounding landforms being; Melaleuca thicket/swamp to the South, Dunal systems to the west, Limestone rises over sandy clay and a large hill to the East.
Bounded by; agricultural land to the north and east, seas to the west, Gleesons Landing to Warooka road to the south.The survey area is the reserve located North of Gleesons Landing, Southern Yorke Peninsula.
