Bridal Creeper and Bridal Veil Herbicide Trials at Newland Head |
Abstract: |
Bridal creeper and bridal veil suppress native undergrowth and groundcover. Herbicide trials are being conducted in the Adelaide region to identify an optimum control procedure. The aim is to control creeper in areas of high conservation value, based on surveys of significant species and communities. When suitable spray procedure is determined, it will be applied until effective biological control can be implemented. Trials examine effects of varied spray rates and concentrations in controlling weed species. Mature and seedling plants are treated once a year in select areas. Various plots established with photo locations marked to illustrate effects of varied rates of application. |
