Survey/Project Name: Aerial/Ground Weed Survey Innamincka RR
Abstract: Aerial and ground surveys of Innamincka Regional Reserve for weeds funded by the Caring for our Country 2010-13 Program. Priority areas to be surveyed include gibber table lands and the riparian zone. We aim to improve knowledge of the presence of weeds at Innamincka. These surveys will inform weed control activities in later 2011.

Start Date: 01/06/2011      End Date: 30/12/2019
Survey Type: Vegetation Only

Study Area Description: Innamincka RR
Objectives
Vegetation: Aerial and ground surveys for weeds funded by the Caring for our Country 2010-13 Program. Priority areas to be surveyed include gibber table lands and the riparian zone. We aim to improve knowledge of the presence of weeds at Innamincka as no broad dedicated surveys have been conducted to date - that we are aware of. These surveys will inform weed control activities in later 2011.
Fauna: *** No fauna survey objectives recorded
Methodology
Vegetation: Primary purpose of the exercise is to map and record the spatial distribution and density of a number of weeds across Innamincka, to inform and provide a baseline for onground management. Spatial accuracy is likely to be good (<10m) on the ground, but will move to within 100-150m of occurance from the air.The surveys are being planned using GIS mapping of known weeds across Innamincka to identify and prioritse survey effort.
Fauna: *** No vertebrate methodology recorded

Data Distribution Rules: Public Dataset
Project Basis: Vegetation : Pest/Diseases/Threats - control project
Vegetation : Presence and absence method
