Survey/Project Name: GAMMON RANGES SCIENTIFIC PROJECT (GRaSP) -SEG
Abstract: The Scientific Expedition Group (SEG) has been running the Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges Scientific Project (GRaSP) in the Arcoona Creek catchment area since 1987. Begun in 1987 with the installation of a rain gauge on the Gammon Plateau, the program has been gradually expanded to include more pluvios, a stream gauge, records of intentional and opportune animal sightings, and more, listed below: -Continuous rainfall records at high and low altitudes from 5 sites -Streamflow recording in Arcoona Creek -Photographic botanical monitoring -Aquatic biology and water quality -Human impact monitoring -Stream flow recording -Feral animal counts -Yellow Footed Rock Wallaby monitoring Methodology is avaiable via http://www.communitywebs.org/ScientificExpeditionGroup. Trip reports, data and images are lodged with the appropriate State Departments.
