| Abstract: |
This project aims to conduct a biological survey in the Mid North region, near Adelaide, South Australia, to map the floristic composition and structure of remnant native vegetation, with special attention to Lomandra grasslands which are associated with habitat for Pygmy Bluetongue (Tiliqua adelaidensis). See also Project 58 (Pygmy Blue Tongue Project).
The survey boundary in October 1994 was from Eudunda in the south to Yongala in the north.

| Study Area Description: |
Topography consists of alternating ridges and valleys trending roughly north-south. Rainfall is 450mm pa in the rolling hills near Burra to 250mm pa in the plains to the east. Vegetation consists of woodlands on ridges, grasslands in valleys and rolling hills, mallee and chenopod shrublands in plains to the east.
Eudunda in the south to Yongala in the north
There are 3 sites located outside of the spatial boundary: Patch Id 12101, 12102 and 12103. These sites are located in the SW corner of the Peterborough 1:50 000 mapsheet 6632-02. |
