Survey/Project Name: Danggali Conservation Park Survey 1979
Abstract: Fauna trapping survey carried out from 23rd October 1978 to 9th March 1979 in Danggali Conservation Park, Murraylands, South Australia. The survey was carried out to document the occurrence of reptiles and small mammals in the park. Pitfall traps were used to capture the fauna species, and vegetation species of the habitat were also recorded.

Methodology

         Fauna: Nine equally spaced pitfall traps with 100m of drift fence were established in an irregular line along the base of an east-west trending sand dune. Pitfall traps varied in size, from 18cm to 28cm square and 45cm deep. Soil and leaf litter were placed in the bottom of the traps to provide shelter. Trap line was checked irregularly.
