Survey/Project Name: | MOKOTA Conservation Park Vegetation Species and Condition Mapping |
Abstract: | In 1999, as an adjunct to the baseline survey of Mokota Conservation Park (BS116), north of Adelaide, South Australia, members of the Threatened Plant Action Group undertook visual vegetation-assessment at 21 sites. Most sites were located along the ridgelines and were in very poor condition. The data entered in this survey was sourced from the baseline-survey report Hyde (2000). Dominant or significant alien and native species occurring within 50 m of a GPS point were recorded and the sites were allocated a condition rating. In April 2014 visual vegetation-assessment was repeated at a subset of the original sites. A group of native plant species that have a localised or patchy distribution in the park, and may be sensitive to management interventions, were also mapped throughout the park. These included shrub and tree species; major perennial weeds and Kangaroo Grass. |
