Survey/Project Name: NINETY MILE DESERT (NCS/MAMMALCLUB)
Abstract: This project relates to biological survey work carried out in the Ninety Mile Desert (Chandos and Buckingham) in the South East region of South Australia in 1977, prior to land being gazetted to the National Reserve System (Ngarkat Conservation Park). The Field Naturalists Society of South Australia (Mammal Club) carried out trapping in 1977. Plant and animal specimens were lodged with the SA Herbarium and SA Museum respectively. The work was summarised in a report by the Nature Conservation Society of SA. Objectives

Methodology
         Vegetation: Opportunistic plant specimen collection plus plant list/description at each trapline.
         Fauna: Elliott traps, Sherman traps and cage traps. Up to 23 sites at 10-15m intervals along traplines at 12 locations in October 1977. Two nights of trapping at each location.
