Survey/Project Number: 137          Total No. of Sites: 14874
Survey/Project Name: Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby Project (Aerial)
Abstract: This project aims to conduct an ongoing aerial (helicopter) survey of Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby (Petrogale xanthopus xanthopus) abundance and distribution in major population areas across South Australia including: 1. Gawler Ranges; 2. Gammon Ranges; 3. South and Central Flinders Ranges; 4. Parts of the Olary Ranges. METHODOLOGY: Survey commenced in 1981. Methodology for recording data during flights changed in 2000 from manual to data logger. Data is also gathered for Euro (Macropus robustus), Wedge-tailed Eagle (Aquila audax) and Feral Goat.
