Survey/Project Name: Distribution and Sex Ratio of Antechinus flavipes in Fragmented Habitats
Abstract: Movement of Antechinus flavipes through, and its use of, various fragments of native vegetation adjacent Deep Creek Conservation Park in 2000-2002. Examines the presence of Antechinus, breeding rates, movement and home range of lactating females among the fragments. Fragments include linear strips of vegetation along road side, patches in paddocks and areas of pine trees in vicinity of Range Road. Sites in Deep Creek Conservation Park constitute a control for comparison; these habitats not being fragmented like the adjoining farmland.
