BDBSA Project Metadata Detail

Survey/Project Number: 25          Total No. of Sites: 42
Survey/Project Name: Witjira National Park
Abstract: This project aims to carry out a site-based biological survey of Witjira National Park, northern South Australia, and some surrounding land, to follow establishment of a series of photopoints in the park, and to provide field experience for a number of organised groups. Methods used approximated standard biological survey methods at that time. Surveying was conducted by the Australian New Zealand Exploration Society (ANZES), in conjunction with DENR in 1990 and some follow up visits in 1991 and 1992 (by the South Australian Expedition Group, and DENR). Repeat visits to the Mount Crispe sites carried out as part of rare-rodent survey work have also been added under this project.

Start Date: 04/06/1990      End Date: 30/09/2011
