Survey/Project Name: Sandy Creek Floral Resources Enhancement
Abstract: Observed decline in honey eater populations (Barry Hutchins 1962 onwards) are linked to perceived reduction in Banksia and Callistemon flowers due to senesence in Sandy Creek Conservation Park. This project examines impacts of grazing and water limitation on Banksia marginata seedling recruitment and survival, through vegetation and kangaroo-monitoring programs.

Survey Type: Vegetation and Fauna

Study Area Description: *** No study area description recorded
Objectives
Vegetation: Experimental exclosures and watering treatments are being evaluated over a 3 year period. Grazing exclosures were established to examine the impact of kangaroo and rabbit grazing pressure on mature B. marginata trees and seedlings.
Fauna: *** No fauna survey objectives recorded
Methodology
Vegetation: *** No vegetation methodology recorded
Fauna: *** No vertebrate methodology recorded
