Survey/Project Name: Bool Lagoon Fire Response Monitoring
Abstract: This Bool Lagoon project includes pre and post-burn monitoring. Data is collected on different plant responses to fire. There are three quadrats per site which are surveyed. Attributes include species, cover and abundance. Photopoints were used. A prescribed burn was done in the area in Spring 2003. Since then there have been two site visits (surveys). There has been rapid regeneration since the burn in Spring 2003, with abundance levels similar to pre-burn figures. The resulting information will contribute to Management Plans and assist in planning fire regimes.
