Survey/Project Name: Piezometer monitoring wyngate
Abstract: This project aims to get an understanding of groundwater fluctuation in Wyndgate, Coorong Nationa Park, to enable wetlands in the area to be managed more appropriately. The project began in December 2003 and a report should be ready by the end of the 2005 financial year. Once the report and recommendations are made on how to manage the channels, the monitoring will be ongoing. Data is collected via five piezometers that are checked once a month for water level. Other data may also be collected such as oxygen and nutrient levels, turbidity, conductivity and temperature.
