Survey/Project Name: Chowilla monitoring program exclosure data
Abstract: Herbivore exclosures were set up on Chowilla Pastoral Lease in 1986 to determine the effects of grazing and grazing suppression on populations of Atriplex stipitata. The current project has 5 exclosures that vary in size from sets of 3 x 1/2 ha or 3 x 1 km which make large exclusion zones. Each exclosure was grazed previous to the survey and each has different objectives. The vegetation data is recorded and photos are taken for each. The monitoring is irregular in frequency.
