Survey/Project Number: 625          Total No. of Sites: 670
Survey/Project Name: Arid Lands NRM Threatened Fauna Project
Abstract: This project is a partnership between DEH and the SA Arid Lands NRM Board. The aim is to fill critical knowledge gaps relating to some of the 25 or so nationally and state listed threatened fauna species within the Arid Lands NRM region. The key to this project is through effective community engagement, education, involvement and tapping into the knowledge and observation opportunities that people living in the outback have regarding some of our little-known threatened fauna species. Methods of data collection vary from targeted trapping or observational surveys for some species, to opportunistic observations, as well as collation of recent and historical records and specimens from the public (this will be specified in all cases). This project includes the Woma Python public sightings project.
