Survey/Project Name: Southern Bell Frog (Coorong-Lower Lakes)
Abstract: The survey was conducted on the 6th to 9th of April 2009. It was a Rapid Assessment of Target Species for the Southern Bell Frog (Litoria raniformis). This intensive search effort covered 24 sites over 3 day and nights from Milang through Wellington and Meningie to Narrung, with a day component and an active searching night component. Sites were determined based on: historical records, known habitats, and Available access based on a reconnaissance trip (Tuesday 31st). No Southern Bell Frogs were recorded during this field expedition but condition assessment, other fauna and suitable locations were recorded for future survey activities anticipated for the end of 2009 during the Southern Bell Frogs known breeding season.
