Survey/Project Name: Northern & Yorke Peninsula Permanent Pools Monitoring Program
Abstract: Northern & Yorke Permanent Pools Monitoring Program commenced in 2011. Objective of the program was to obtain baseline information relating to permanent pools located on 'priority watercourses' as defined in the Regional NRM Plan. The information collected relates to vegetation, pool and invertebrate data. Also includes other associated data collected during surveys, such as fish, mammal, reptile, bird and frog. EK21/04/2016

Study Area Description: Willochra Creek catchment - 5 sites Wakefield River catchment - 4 sites
Objectives

Methodology
         Vegetation: The field data sheets used are those found in: Parsons, M., Thoms, M. and Norris, R., 2002, Australian River Assessment System: AusRivAS Physical Assessment Protocol, Monitoring River Health Initiative Technical Report no 22, Commonwealth of Australia and University of Canberra, Canberra. The invertebrate field data sheet used is that created by the Waterwatch program. Willochra Creek catchment has 5 sites. Wakefield River catchment has 4 sites. Visits to each monitoring site have occurred 1-2/year in April and/or October. A photo database of all observed vegetation types at each site has been collected for each visit.
