Survey/Project Name: Ridley Salt Estaurine Fish Survey
Abstract: This project aims to monitor the effects of releasing hypersaline waters into Gulf St Vincent, following closure of the Dry Creek salt fields, north of Adelaide, South Australia. Fish surveys were undertaken by SARDI and EPA in the Gawler River Estuary and neighbouring Chapmans Estuary.

Methodology

         Fauna: Fyke nets of varying types were set for between 12 and 15 hours. Three sites were set within the Gawler estuary downstream of the Ridley salt works release point and three were set in the neighbouring Chapmans estuary as a control site.
