Survey/Project Number: 1119          Total No. of Sites: 194
Survey/Project Name: Miscellaneous records - Tim Fuhlbohm
Abstract: A combination of datasets generated from works conducted across South Australia by Tim Fuhlbohm over many years, particularly beginning in the 1990s when as a park ranger in EP, SE and KI regions. Particulary focusing on threatened plant species. This project may also include datasets of threatened fauna and species lists from other areas of the state, such as KI and west coast but is primarily from the AMLR region. This data mainly focuses on higher-priority flora species that are sites to be burnt. Observations and specimens of species have been recorded in pre-burn and post-burn areas, parks and private properties. These species are found or known to be detected in Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources (DEWNR) parks which could be under threat from various activities such as walking and mountain bike trails. When prescribed burns are conducted it is important to know specifically where these species occur to ensure fire management is considered for each species.

Start Date: 10/04/1990      End Date: 10/04/2020
Survey Type: Vegetation and Fauna

Study Area Description: AMLR, EP and KI
Objectives
         Vegetation: Refer to Abstract.
         Fauna: Refer to Abstract.
Methodology
Vegetation: Post burn weed treatment areas. Sometimes records not previously recorded in park, uncommon species and with high ratings. Visits made after burns. Records taken from old datasheets and scrap bits of paper that have complete species lists of other species but Tim is only supplying records of the significant species that may have been picked up in ramble surveys but not always given the exact coordinates and just a centroid. Also opportune. Ellen worked with Tim to collate records from hardcopy into electronic data returns template. May contain other datasets with other methods.
Fauna: *** No vertebrate methodology recorded

Data Distribution Rules: Public Dataset
Project Basis: Vegetation : Distribution - Vegetation/Fauna species (ie ad-hoc opportunistic species records - not usually re-visited) NOTE:NON Std Svy methodology
