Survey/Project Name: | Securing Low Flows ecological monitoring and evaluation program |
Abstract: | The Securing Low Flows program is an infrastructure program that seeks to implement the low flows policies of the Western Mt Lofty Ranges Water Allocation Plans. As part of the program, there is an environmental monitoring and evaluation process to assess the effectiveness of returning low flows to achieving ecological outcomes. The monitoring component of this program includes both aquatic macroinvertebrates and aquatic vegetation collected at sites both sites that will be impacted by low flows and sites that will not. In the future this will enable a true Before After Control Impact assessment of the impact of low flows to be shown. This program is linked closely with the Flows for the Future Project in the Eastern Mt Lofty Ranges. |
