Survey/Project Name: | Brookfield Grazing Monitoring |
Abstract: | This project aims to conduct a survey of Brookfield Conservation Park, near Blanchetown, South Australia, covering collated ecological work undertaken since 1972. AIMS: Determine long-term effects of de-stocking the reserve, following the purchase of the land by the private, non-profit organization Chicago Zoological Society, and its later proclamation as a conservation park. The emphasis is on regeneration of perennial plants and native grasses and the impact of rainfall, wombats, rabbits and kangaroos on the native vegetation. |
