Survey/Project Number: 624          Total No. of Sites: 81
Survey/Project Name: Threatened Lomandra and Eucalyptus odorata grassy communities
Abstract: Field work was undertaken (2008-2010) to clarify the distribution of two nationally listed threatened plant communities: Irongrass natural temperate grassland and Peppermint box grassy woodland in SA. Locations on Eyre Peninsula and in the Southeast of SA where these ecological communities could occur were assessed to establish whether vegetation was likely to meet the published criteria for the listed communities. This project contains sites at which presence or absence of these ecological communities was recorded. The results of the survey were incorporated into updated spatial data on 1. the broad regional boundaries where the listed communities may occur and 2. vegetation polygons that may meet the condition and composition criteria for the listed communities. These layers are available in SDE and have been supplied to the Australian government, which funded the project. The results of the survey have also been incorporated in the draft recovery plans for the listed ecological communities.
