Survey/Project Number: 746          Total No. of Sites: 40
Survey/Project Name: Vegetation Monitoring Deep Creek CP
Abstract: Vegetation monitoring program to assess the impacts of herbivores on native vegetation communities within Deep Creek Conservation Park was undertaken in June 2009. The methodology required the establishment and survey of permanent vegetation monitoring sites for ongoing monitoring of vegetation condition within Deep Creek Conservation Park. Monitoring to be concentrated around areas where kangaroo impacts are known to be severe due to the presence of nearby cleared land. All plots to be located within 150 m of cleared land.

Start Date: 01/05/2009      End Date: 30/06/2009
Survey Type: Vegetation Only

Study Area Description: Surveys conducted within Deep Creek CP
Objectives
         Vegetation: Refer to Abstract.
Fauna: *** No fauna survey objectives recorded
Methodology
Vegetation: The monitoring methodology requires the establishment and survey of permanent vegetation monitoring sites for ongoing monitoring of vegetation condition within Deep Creek Conservation Park. Monitoring will be concentrated around areas where kangaroo impacts are known to be severe due to the presence of nearby cleared land. The locations of plots will be selected by restricted random sampling, with all plots to be located within 150 m of cleared land. The location of plots will be provided to the successful contractor by DEH. A plot size of 0.1 ha (50 m x 20 m) is required with the centre being the GPS point which is to be permanently marked with a star-dropper. All plot locations need to be recorded using a consistent map projection (i.e. Australian Map Grid, GDA94 Datum). All plots are also to be photographed.
Fauna: *** No vertebrate methodology recorded

Data Distribution Rules: Public Dataset
Project Basis: Vegetation : Monitoring - Vegetation/Ecosystem (ie species records - usually re-visited for ongoing monitoring) NOTE:NON Std Svy methodology may have been used.
