Survey/Project Name: Bounceback Pest Plant Mapping and Control
Abstract: Mapping and treatment of pest plant species is part of the threat abatement work in the Flinders Ranges, Gawler Ranges NP, Bimbowrie CP, VGRNP and Arkaroola within South Australia. Target weed species in the Flinders Ranges are wheel cactus, other Opuntia species, pepper trees, African boxthorn and oleander. Control of these woody weeds is undertaken to restore native vegetation habitats. The Opuntoid cacti and African boxthorn are WONS (Weeds of National Significance).
