Survey/Project Name: Southern Murray Mallee Landscape Assessent Framework Fieldwork (LAF)
Abstract: Southern Murray Mallee Landscape Assessment Framework (LAF). Biodiversity planning for key species and habitats in the Murray Mallee. Models of carefully chosen species, communities and ecosystems within three landscapes of the MMLAP produced. The models will document reasoning to suggest appropriate on-ground actions within appropriate areas of the trial landscapes. Survey work to determine the current distribution and status of species, communities and ecosystems in the trial landscapes. Survey started in 2005 and is still going.

Start Date: 27/08/2005      End Date: 30/06/2015
Survey Type: Vegetation and Vertebrates

Study Area Description: Murray Mallee IBRA Sub-region - South Australian part east of the river (Bandon, Kunlara, Karoonda and Pinnaroo IBRA Associations).
Objectives
Vegetation: *** No vegetation survey objectives recorded
Fauna: Existing information in BDBSA is not sufficient to generate Landscape Assessment Framework information for the landscapes in the Southern Murray Mallee. This fieldwork aims to fill that gap with information for birds.
Methodology
Vegetation: *** No vegetation methodology recorded
Fauna: Birds - generate Landscape Response Groups from repeat surveys of 5 hectare/30 minute bird counts and improve sublandscape distributional information.

Data Distribution Rules: Public
Project Basis: Vegetation : Biological Survey of South Australia - Standard Survey methodology used.
Vegetation : Monitoring - Vegetation/Ecosystem (ie species records - usually re-visited for ongoing monitoring) NOTE:NON Std Svy methodology may have been used.
Fauna : Monitoring - Fauna/Ecosystem (ie species records - usually re-visited for ongoing monitoring) NOTE:NON Std Svy methodology may have been used.
